Old Rust on Skid
Barbara Sistak Baur’s current studio is a garage filled to brim with collected material - especially vintage license plates and various found objects. She had been saving this skid while deciding how to incorporate into her art. The skid is old and weathered. And so where many license plates in her garage as well as other items. So she put them together. The barbed was found behind the garage and makes a perfect frame for the composition. Barb and her husband have a home-based e-commerce business where they offer vintage license plates to collectors, auto enthusiasts, man cave dweller, she shed citizens and rustic decorators. This piece is a tribute to their joint endeavor.
